Rep. Weber Calls for Change of Mindset at DCFS

At a hearing with DCFS following the death of 5 year old Crystal Lake boy AJ Freund, State Representative Tom Weber asked what policies need to change to ensure DCFS can protect a child like AJ and clear red flags won’t be ignored. He also called for DCFS to take a proactive, instead of reactive, approach to address the agency’s failings to prevent another tragedy like AJ’s from happening to other families.
