October 1, 2019 marked the first day students may file the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) for the 2020-2021 school year. Click Here.
While students may use the FAFSA form to apply for financial aid for college or grad school throughout the year, it is recommended that students complete their annual application as soon as possible, especially students who receive, or plan to apply for, Monetary Award Program (MAP) grants in Illinois.
The Illinois Student Assistance Commission (ISAC) evaluates and awards MAP grants to eligible students until grant funds are depleted. Visit the ISAC website here.
In addition, to help students and parents find the Illinois institution that best fits their educational priorities and career goals a new tool has been created – IL College2Career tool. The tool provides an opportunity for students and parents to review a wide-range of information on Illinois two-year and four-year institutions that includes career outcomes of graduates from a particular academic area of study at a specific post-secondary institution.
