State Representative Tom Weber (R-Lake Villa) is partnering with the McHenry County Sheriff’s Office to host a free prescription drug drop off event on Wednesday, September 2. This event to safely dispose of unwanted or expired prescription drugs will take place from 9 a.m. to noon at the McHenry County Courthouse located at 2200 N Seminary Ave in Woodstock.
“Like other events, many regularly scheduled prescription drug disposal events were canceled as a result of coronavirus, but that hasn’t made it any less important to safely dispose of expired prescriptions,” said Weber. “To provide a safe and easy environment, our event will be set up as a drive-thru to allow residents to remain in their vehicles during the collection process.”
As Weber indicated, the event is outside and allows participants to remain in your vehicle during the collection of unwanted, unused or expired medications. Drivers should follow the marked lanes when entering and exiting the parking lot.
