State Representative Tom Weber (R- Fox Lake), in partnership with the Lake Villa Township, is encouraging the community to come out and come together to provide much needed donations on August 27th.
“Blood donations are once again sorely needed as the number of donors drops significantly in the summer,” Rep. Weber explained. “ While I want to encourage as many people as possible to donate blood, I understand it’s something many are uncomfortable with, so we’ll also be supporting the Lake Villa Township Food Pantry. I’m asking members of the community to join me in donating nonperishables or their blood to help save lives in our community. Together, we can make a difference in the lives of those going through a rough patch.”
The drive will take place on Friday, August 27th from 8 a.m. – 1 p.m. at the Lake Villa Township Building in Ingleside. Walk-ins are welcome, but as a COVID-19 precaution and to save time, making an appointment is strongly preferred.
Interested blood donors can make an appointment to donate by visiting here and entering group search code 520D or by contacting Rep. Weber’s office at (847) 629-5439.
