Speaking during a committee hearing on another piece of knee-jerk reaction legislation, State Representative Tom Weber (R-Lake Villa) questioned why the legislation only targets firearms but advertisements for other products, even those with known dangers, are excluded.
“I think there are a lot of things we can do to improve public safety, but all we ever seem to do is blame one object and ignore everything else,” said Weber.
