Rep. Weber Takes Stand for Constitutional Rights During Committee Hearing

Speaking during a committee hearing on House Bill 3062, State Rep. Tom Weber objected to the legislation preventing Illinois citizens from filing constitutional lawsuits outside of Sangamon or Cook County, as they currently can do. Weber said limiting the ability of citizens to file suit in their local area gives an unfair advantage to the government and hinders their ability to defend themselves against laws they believe may be unconstitutional.
