Rep. Weber Mourns the Tragic Death of Megan Bos

Yesterday, I took some time on the House Floor to shed light on the tragic death of Megan Bos, a 37-year-old woman from Antioch who went missing for more than 50 days before being discovered in a trash can in the backyard of a home.

One of the home’s residents admitted to finding Bos’ body and storing it in a garbage bin in his basement and then his yard, as well as smashing Bos’ phone. Despite being charged with four Class 4 felonies, the man was released under the SAFE-T Act, which provides that Class 4 felonies are non-detainable offenses.

I am praying for peace, resilience, and closure for the Bos family during this incredibly challenging time. Megan will be incredibly missed.
