The American Experiment that began in earnest 250 years ago, with more and more significant events in 1776, has led to the betterment not only of American citizens but of the world population at large. Societies across the world have benefited from the spark that lit a fire for freedom and self-determination 250 years ago.

In January 1776, Thomas Paine published Common Sense, and it was one of the most widely circulated works of the time, arguing for independence.

“A government of our own is our natural right; and when a man seriously reflects on the precariousness of human affairs, he will become convinced, that it is infinitely wiser and safer, to form a constitution of our own in a cool deliberate manner, while we have it in our power, than to trust such an interesting event to time and chance.” – Common Sense, Thomas Paine.

If you haven’t read it or explored some of its more significant passages, I encourage it.
