Following today’s announcement that the U.S. Supreme Court has upheld state laws protecting women and girls in sports, State Representative Tom Weber released the following statement in response:
“I applaud the Supreme Court for recognizing that protecting the safety of girls and women in sports and ensuring fair competition is more important than bowing to any political pressure of the moment. Women across this nation have sacrificed to give other women and girls the opportunity to have a fair playing field, and this decision reaffirms the work these trailblazers have done.”
